mwegKärdla (in mwewtedesco mwfaKertell, in mwfqsvedese mwfgKärrdal, mwfwin russo Кярдлаmwga?) è un ex mwgqcomune dell'Estonia; classificato come comune urbano, era capoluogo della mwggcontea di Hiiumaa, nell'mwgwEstonia nord-occidentale.

Nell'ottobre mwhq2013 è stato soppresso e accorpato con mwhgKõrgessaare per costituire il comune di mwhwHiiu, che a sua volta nel 2017 è entrato a far parte del comune rurale di mwiaHiiumaa.

Storia

Affacciata sul mwiwMar Baltico lungo la costa nord-orientale dell'isola di mwjaHiiumaa, sorse nella prima metà dell'mwjqOttocento attorno ad un'mwjgindustria tessile edificata nel mwjw1829.

Il centro abitato è servito da un piccolo mwkgaeroporto che sorge a circa mwkw4 km dal centro cittadino.
